Christmas Joy!

Paige really enjoyed Christmas this year! Throughout the month, each night, we would let her pick something from the Advent calendar that Grandma Stone gave her. She really liked seeing what was inside each box. Then we'd play a YouTube video of Santa Clause singing Jingle Bells. She would get very excited to see "Ho Ho" (that is what she calls him). Once the video was over she would get her Christmas candy (green & red m&ms). It became our nightly routine and Paige knew it! I think we'll keep this tradition going next year with her.

When it came to her gifts, she really tried to help unwrap them. She could get the bows off of most of her packages and even helped us rip the wrapping paper. She got some wonderful things from her family (a bunch of cute clothes, a ton of books & lots of toys)! On Christmas Day Santa left her some great things under the tree...although she didn't really grasp the concept of "Ho Ho" leaving all these toys for her. Maybe next year. Her favorite gifts include: The Fisher Price Little People, Step 2 Kitchen and play food, her new babies (especially her cheerleading doll), and of course her new pet Ruby (a betta fish) who has Elmo in the fishbowl with her!

We are very blessed and thankful for such a terrific year...hoping 2010 is just as wonderful!

Santa at the Durham Museum

Just as I thought...Paige was afraid of Santa this year. She clung to me like velcro! We had no chance of a picture with her on Santa's lap. Oh well...there will be many more Christmas's ahead!

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving in Chicago this year. Paige got to meet her cousins Lilly and Andrew and her Aunt JoEllen for the first time. The kids had so much fun playing together!
